The following is the text published with Iva's class photo In an Obituary published by The Pueblo Chieftain on Friday, May 24, 1968.

"Duncan
Mrs. Iva Lorene Duncan, died in Detroit, Michigan, May 20. She was the wife of Scott K Duncan, Detroit, and the mother of Scott Duncan Jr., of the family home. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Prater, Pueblo, and sister of Mrs. Lois Needham and J. R. Dial, both of Pueblo: Miss Alice Prater, Albuquerque, N.M. and Randy Prater of the U.S. Navy. She was the granddaughter of Mrs. Alta-Dial, Eldorado Springs, Mo. and Mrs. Alta Prater, of Pueblo. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Park Hill Baptist Church. She served in the U.S. Air force in 1960 and 1961. She had been a Pueblo resident until then, and was a graduate of East High School. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Valhalla's Garden Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bruce Melton. Interment will follow in Pueblo Memorial Gardens."
