Chuck's Email Address: cdandcd@earthlink.netMy wife also graduated from east in"63. Her maiden name was Carol Dwire. First freshman class of East. First Class to go a full four years at East.
I retired five years ago from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Denver Distribution Center. I was a "Government Official" at the lowest level. I signed computer generated letters to Veterans. (I was a clerk) I have done many things in my life but my work for the VA was the most full-filling of them all.
After retiring I became involved in the Disabled American Veterans. I am the Senior Vice Commander for Chapter 7 here in Denver. Volunteering in my spare time at the VA hospital and teaching seniors computer classes at the senior center keeps me out of trouble.
Here is a short version of where I have been. Pueblo College, University of Texas at El Paso, Metropolitan State College, Denver, and it only took 16 years of interruptions, and adventures, to get my BA. in 1978. Didn't start college until 62. National Guard Active duty came first.
When we retired we bought a RV and have been on the road as much as family care will allow. My Mom (86) is still in Pueblo and My wife's folks (85,79) are in Glenwood Springs. So we are well traveled on I-70 and I-25.
Traveling has become our passion. Our goal is to drive the coastline of the US. Got most of it done less the northeast and the gulf of Mexico. So far Oregon is tops for scenery. Wild and windy.
We have Children and Grandchildren in Beaufort, South Carolina. Now I do find the south a bit different but I could winter there I think. We have spent several vacations in the warm south, as you can imagine.
