In 1899, six doctors organized the Jefferson County Medical Society. DR. J. S. PRICE came in 1891, and in 1901 was a charter member of Hotel Dieu's staff. Dr. W. W. Cunningham also began practice in
1891, but soon resettled in Houston for a few years before moving back to Beaumont. He was a charter member of Hotel Dieu's staff.

Superintendent of County Tubercular Hospital Succumbs to Asthma
Mrs. Mabel Price, superintendent of county tubercular hospital, died suddenly at 4:15 o'clock yesterday morning at the Hotel Dieu. She was stricken Monday night with acute asthma
and removed to the hospital where her condition did not improve.
